MEET OUR STAFF

Our veterinary technicians assist the doctors in the exam rooms, surgery and in the overall treatment of your pets. Here's a little information about each of them to help you get to know them better.

Brad is our Office Manager and has been in the veterinary field since 1989. He has experience in emergency care, large animals, exotics and, of course, companion animals! Brad has been with Great Oaks since November 1998 and has moved from veterinary technician to Office Manager. He oversees the hospital's care for its patients as well as its owners. If you have any comments or suggestions about how to provide you and your pet with the best care possible, please contact Brad! Brad has three beautiful human children, all girls, and three dogs, Java, Mocha Latte, and Cappucino as well as two rabbits. Brad has also had a 9-foot Burmese python and a 5-foot red tailed boa as well as ferrets.
Amy has been a veterinary nurse with Great Oaks since November 1999. She works primarily with our surgical and dental patients. She spent her time volunteering at the SPCA and Humane Society before joining our staff. She has 2 feline children, Sam, and Megan. She is finishing up her undergraduate education and plans to attend veterinary school.
Erica is our head veterinary nurse and works primarily with Dr. Grimm. She was born and raised in South Florida and has been at GOAH since January 2005. She has been a veterinary nurse for over five years and has plans to become a registered veterinary technician. Her hobbies include traveling, hiking and floating the river. A quote that she lives by is "live everyday like it is your last."


Kim joined the GOAH staff in February 2006. She works primarily with Dr. Baugh. She has nursing experience from several emergency and critical care facilities. She has two dogs, Bailey and Annie and three cats, Lily, Popeye and Tokyo. She is entering studies for environmental sciences.
Kristal has been with Great Oaks since June 2001. She primarily assists Dr. Willis. Her big baby, Katy, is a rescued greyhound.
Karen started at Great Oaks in March of 99 and after a brief time away, has been back at GOAH since February 2000. She has four dogs and two cats, most of which she rescued during her time at Great Oaks. She loves being around all animals, taking care of them, and especially watching them play. Her hobbies include pets (of course!), camping and fishing.
Caitlin has been with us since August 2000.
Donna has been at Great Oaks since February 2003. She's a transplant from Minnesota. She has degrees in Applied Psychology and Criminal Justice and hopes to someday work with a program pairing troubled children with pets for therapy. She has two Pomeranians she enjoys training in agility.
Roger joined the staff of GOAH in September 2006. He has worked in animal care for over 2 years. Roger has worked with large animals, exotic animals, and of course dogs and cats. Roger has two dogs, two cats, and is adding a human baby to his family in March 2007!
Lolly moved to Austin from Hot Springs, Arkansas and joined the Great Oaks staff in the spring of 2006. She has worked in all parts of the hospital, as a receptionist, a kennel technician, and now is a veterinary nurse! She is studying to become a cardiac sonographer. She has a beautiful daughter named Lainey, but no furry children....yet!
Our smiling receptionists greet you as you come in. They assist doctors and clients alike with appointments, medication refills and many other behind the scenes responsibilities.

Joanna has been with Great Oaks since December 2000. She shares her home with a feisty rat terrier named Wilbur and a rambunctious redbone coonhound named Roux. She has been married to Joe for almost ten years. After much discussion, they decided against a vacation to Italy and chose to have a baby instead. They celebrated the birth of thir first child, Lauren Julianna in April 2006. Joanna and Joe enjoy traveling, riding roller coasters and staring at their new baby.
Christine has been with Great Oaks since April 2002. She has a wonderful husband, Trey, two beautiful daughters Kaylee and Karissa, and one mischeivous little boy named Sam. She also shares her house with one four-legged family member, Mr. Butter Pecan, a 6-year-old Lhasa Apso that she adopted from GOAH shortly after she began working here. Christine enjoys going to the park with her family, volunteering at her church, and photography.
Leti has been with Great Oaks since April 2004. She was married in October 2005. She has no human children, but has rescued two animals since joining the GOAH family, a red heeler named Erik and a cat named Spicoli, which according to Leti is all she can handle for now! Leti and her husband enjoy listening to live music around Austin, hanging out at the lake, playing pool, and dancing.
Meridith has been with Great Oaks since September 2003. She is married with three sons, ages 14, 10 and 5. Meridith has one dog, Kya, two Pipidae frogs named Hop and Jump, and one Betta fish named Bingo. Her hobbies include watching and playing sports, doing outdoor activities, and reading.
