Dr. Kelli Kristine Grimm

Dr. Kelli Kristine Grimm in an almost-native Austinite and grew up here from grade school on. She traveled the country for college and graduate work but settled back in Austin in 2003. Her undergraduate degree is in marine biology from TAMU-Galveston and she did her masters work at the Shedd Aquarium in Chicago, but started college as a theater major at Northwestern University. She graduated cum laude from Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine in 2002 and completed an internship in small animal medicine and surgery at the University of Missouri in 2003. She joined the doctors of Great Oaks Animal Hospital in 2005. 

Her areas of special interest are feline medicine, internal medicine, geriatrics, and hospice. She has four rescued cats: Shade (who was found in a toilet in Kuwait), Chess, Buster, and her soul-cat Aslan and a wonderful rescue dog named Ginger who accompanies her to work every day. She also has a snake named Romeo-its a long story! She also enjoys being with her husband Kyle and her family, camping, Aggie football, cooking and baking, doing anything outdoors, being on the water, and settling in the her cats and a good book. 

Dr. Grimm is a member of the AVMA and the Texas Veterinary Medical Association, as well as the American Association of Feline Practitioners and was instrumental in making Great Oaks Animal Hospital an AAFP Cat Friendly Practice.
